Wait steps and goal events

Pause until a time, condition, or behaviour.

Three wait types

  • Wait duration — fixed time (3 days, 2 hours).
  • Wait until specific time — send at 9am local time, always.
  • Wait until goal — pause this path until the contact does X (e.g. books a call), then exit. Great for stopping follow-up once they convert.

Goal event pattern

Goal events are the cleanest way to build follow-up sequences. Set your goal = "Appointment booked". The workflow fires 5 nudges spaced over 10 days; the moment the contact books, they exit the workflow and the remaining nudges do not send.
