An auto-reply is a workflow that fires on the "Inbound message received" trigger. Build separate ones for out-of-hours, weekends, and holidays.
Common pattern
- 1Automation → New Workflow → Inbound Message ReceivedPick the channel(s).
- 2Add a condition: current time outside business hoursOr day is a holiday in your custom list.
- 3Send auto reply"Thanks, we’re offline until 8am. We’ll reply then."
- 4Do not loopAdd a 4-hour "already sent auto reply" tag check so rapid inbound messages do not trigger multiple replies.
