Add an opportunity
Three ways to create an opportunity: manually, from a contact, or automatically via a workflow.

From the pipeline board
- 1Open the right pipelineSwitch with the dropdown at the top.
- 2Click "+ Add" on the first stageA side panel slides in.
- 3Pick or create a contactSearch by name, email, or phone. New contact details are saved to the CRM at the same time.
- 4Set the value, owner, and sourceThese power your reporting later.
- 5SaveThe card appears on the board and the contact gets a note added to their timeline.
From a contact record
Open the contact, scroll to the Opportunities widget, and click "Add Opportunity." The contact is pre-filled, so you only need pipeline, stage, value, and owner.
From a workflow
Use the "Create / Update Opportunity" action in any workflow. Pair it with a form-submitted trigger and you have inbound leads landing on the board automatically.
