Custom fields capture data the standard contact fields cannot. Common examples: property address, policy number, service tier, preferred stylist, vehicle VIN.
| Type | Use for |
|---|---|
| Text | Short free-form text (up to 255 chars). |
| Large text | Notes and descriptions. |
| Number | Any numeric value; supports currency formatting. |
| Date | Birthdays, anniversaries, renewal dates. Triggers date-based workflows. |
| Dropdown | One of a fixed list. Good for tier, type, status. |
| Multi-select | Multiple from a fixed list. Good for interests or product preferences. |
| Checkbox | Yes/no. |
| Phone / Email | Validated phone or email format. |
| File | Upload a document against the contact. |
